gifts for teen girls

Both of our girls are now teenagers – eek! This change has been . . . interesting. There’s a lot of sass and back talk, but there are also some intriguing, insightful conversations. I have to keep reminding myself that I’m trying to form them into the people they were meant to be, not mini versions of me. I just need to listen to that reminder more often. 🙂

For now, though, I’m here to share some fantastic gift ideas that are approved by both of them. It can be so rewarding to shop for these kids — particularly when I find the thing that I know will make them smile.

  • Beis bags — these weekend bags are all the rage lately, and I bet they’ll be on sale on Black Friday. I’m debating whether to buy the Mini Weekender or the regular Weekender.
  • JellyCat — so, so soft and cozy! They have a huge variety, too. My daughter wants the volleyball one!
  • Roller Rabbit pajamas — they’re spendy, but the teens absolutely love them for sleepovers. My daughter promises that if I buy them, she’ll wear them every single day for the next year. Should I take her up on that challenge?
  • All teen girls I know love necklaces by Kendra Scott! Choose her birthstone or her favorite color.
  • Warmies — stuffed animals that you can heat in the microwave for menstrual cramps or cold winter nights. I don’t think our kitten (pictured above) is still available, but they have lots of other options.
  • White Fox hoodies are very popular, but be sure to order early. Delivery can take a while, and the most loved designs sell out periodically.
  • Uggs — they’re back! My daughter loves the Tazz in sand with the turquoise details.
  • Fujifilm smartphone polaroid printer — they can print polaroid photos directly from their phone. Our kids are getting this, and I think they’ll love it! Price quoted includes a starter pack of Polaroid film.

Honorable mention:

  • charging cords! You can never have enough.
  • bracelets from the Little Words Project
  • clear purse or fanny pack for concerts and sports games

Happy shopping! I’m working on a guide for teen boys and men, and I’ll post that as soon as I can.
